Aerobic Base is your level of fitness at a low level of intensity. It is the foundation from which you develop a strong endurance capacity to sustain an effort for a long period of time. To build a strong aerobic base we have to build from the bottom up, which means spending a lot of time in Zone 1 and Zone 2 up to our Aerobic Threshold (AeT) limit.
“Stewart Wyllie pulls from a unique breadth of personal experience in combination with science based research when working with athletes. I’ve really appreciated his continual fine tuning and learning style when approaching the nuance of development required to get prepared to meet a specific goal. I’d highly recommend Stewart as a coach for someone preparing anywhere from a 5 km personal best to a multi-day ultramarathon."

“I could not more highly recommend hiring Stewart as a coach. Stewart catered to my schedule with an easy to follow and structured plan, which ultimately led to my success finishing The Canadian Death Race solo (on my first try!). Stewart is a wealth of knowledge on all things ultra, including both strategy and mindset development, heat acclimation and nutritional recommendations. If you are looking for a supportive coach to help guide you towards your goals, Stewart is your guy!"
